Hello students!
Do you know what a "time capsule" is? It's a kind of sealed container with "important" artifacts or things inside. People usually put things inside of the capsule that they think are important for future people to find in order to learn about life in the past.
For example: You fill a time capsule with important artifacts from today's world, and then you bury it in the ground. In 1000 years, someone finds it and looks inside. What would the things inside of the capsule "say" or "tell" that person about you, your country, or life on earth at that time when the capsule was buried in 2013?
So, your assignment for Blog #3 is to describe what you would put into a time capsule so that people opening the capsule 1000 years from now could understand life in 2013. Include 6 (or more) items that you think would be the most important to include in the time capsule. Explain why you think each item is important. Remember, you want the future people to have a really good understanding about either your life, your country, or the world in 2013.

ReplyDeleteI want put some my pictures, my stories, white roses, some candle , cheesecake, my favorite dishes into my times capsule. Because these things made my heart felt warm. I have not a dull life in 2013. This year, I celebrated my twentieth birthday with my friend. Unfortunate, my boyfriend forgot my birthday and he did not give any gifts. It made me felt sad. Then, I started thinking about my love. I think maybe we don’t understand what love is. After two day, it was Valentine's Day. My friends told me happy Valentine's Day, but I felt unhappy. Because I think my love has a problem and I think my life is beautiful no longer. When came back our apartment, I saw a bouquet of white roses, some beautiful small candle, one big cheesecake and my favorite dishes. He told me, he will love me forever. I know some people think “forever” is a big lie, but for me, it is enough. Because that moment is forever engraved on my heart and I still get a great feeling when I remember that moment. In fact these things made me understand life always has its own rules. Maybe, when I was young, happiness was simple; now that I've grown up, simplicity is happiness. I want tell people my life is beautiful and I want tell people my experience . In the long run, life is a great big canvas, and we should throw all the paint on it we can. Sometimes, the most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. For example, love. On the other hand, I want put these things into my time capsule for when people find these, maybe they will understand life is beautiful and they can have more happiness. The most important reason is that it’s my true life in 2013 and people can know true me.

DeleteIt is a good idea to tell future people about your favorite dishes. Also, I believe that future people will know everything about your life, because of your stories.
Do you think that your life is full of happiness? or there are sometimes somethings sad can happen?
Sometime, I feel sad because I miss my family very much. Also, Ted always make me feel unhappy. But for me, I think my life should be full of happiness. Therefore I always forget bad things and always remember happy things.
DeleteHi guys. Today, I want to tell you what I will put in the time capsule. First, I will put a Quran Book because I want people in the future to know what the Quran is, and why is it important for people, especially Muslims people. The second thing I will put is a small bottle of oil, since I think the oil will be gone or disappeared. So, I want people in the future to know how we use it and for what we use oil, and also, I will put some pictures about oil fields and factories of oil. Moreover, I will put a book about Albert Einstein because I think he is the smartest scientist ever. I want people to read about him and I don’t want them to forget him, and also, I want them to know how he invented the theory of relativity. The fourth thing is album of my life and some pictures about me, my family, my friends, the life in Saudi Arabia in 2013, the culture of my country, what kind of food people eat every day, and how look like the transportations in my country. As well, I will put in the time capsule some music of 2013. I want people to know what kind of music we were listening every day such as country, rap, jazz, classic, and folk music. And I will put some movies because I think it is important for people in the future to know how we make movie or music and for what we made it. Also, I will put a letter and in that letter, I will write some advices. For example, I will tell them don’t depend on too much technology because it will destroy the life in the earth and human beings. I will also tell them don’t use drugs such as marijuana or cocaine. I will put pictures of people they used it and how they were destroyed their life. Finally, I think these items are important in the future for people and the life.

DeleteI want to put three things about me and three things about my country in my time capsule. At first, I want to put the pictures of my family, my friend, my lover, and me in a time capsule, because I want a person opening the capsule 1,000 years later to know about my important people. Those people have given the biggest influence in my life. Secondly, I want to put my favorite music. I like listen to music very much, and it is also very important for me. The music that I listened to so far has many memories. Thirdly, I want to put my clothes. I think it’s one of the best methods to describe my liking to show my favorite clothes. Fourthly, I want put my favorite Japanese food in the time capsule if I can do it. I am really proud of Japanese food, so I want many people to eat various Japanese foods all the time after this. Fifthly, I want to put Japanese kimono. This is Japanese traditional clothes of the woman. We usually wear this on the day of a special celebration such as coming-of-age ceremonies. I want future Japanese people to continue this custom. Sixthly, I want to put pictures of the big earthquake that was happened in Japan. This is the most unforgettable occurrence for all Japanese people, so I want future people to know and think well about this.

Hello everyone, today I gonna talk about my time capsule.I would like to put Iphone in the time capsule because I want people tp konw what kind of the phone we used today.Second thing is our book for class, because it will help people to know what we learned and how was our minds. Thirdly I want to put in the time capsule is my clothes, because I want people know what is our style in 2013.

In my time capsule, I want to put both good and bad things we have in 2013. first, I will put the technology we have. Because in the future I believe that every thing will gone technology, oil, energy, etc. So that may help them recycling these stuff. Second, I'm going to put some pictures for today's life huge cities, beautiful streets, tall buildings. Third, I want to put some books in different languages, so they know what are the languages we were speaking.

So they maybe will try to avoid of these things and live in love and peaceful. Also, I will ask them not to be Injustice with each other. They should help each other and do effort to make them life better. I want to tell them about poor people and how they have to help them.

ReplyDeletefirst of all, in my time capsule i will put a microwave, so the people in the future will know how we were heating the food. secondly, i going to put a blackberry and iphone, they can know how we were chatting with people. then, i want to put an albums of the land mark so they can see our famous buildings around the world. after that i will put LCD TV, it will explain how we were watching the news, movies and sports activities. finally, i would like to put a book that shows our education nowadays because the education in the future will be more stronger.

However, you also need to add NEW information to the conversation. In addition, you can ask the student questions. The follow-up blog shouldn't just be two separate comments, but more of a conversation that goes back and forth. for example, after you ask the student a question or comment on what he or she said, the student who is asked the question needs to respond or write something back to the student who asked the question. Does this make sense?

Because, I want to let people who live in after 1000 years to know the city have changed a lot. It is also will help people to research the history of city. Second, I think I should put a paper that I write something in it. In the future, if someone can see it, I want to make them to know our life even not perfect but it is full of surprise and happiness. Last, I want to put a newspaper in it. I think people maybe not use newspaper to know the world. They will know the big event from computer. So I would like show them our modern social that we could get these information from newspaper. All in all, I think all of my things are funny for people in the future.
